Alexander Akens – El Matador

Essen, Bochum, Cologne, Munich (all Germany), Venlo (Netherlands), Los Angeles (CA), White Bear Lake (MN) are the locations where Alex has lived, worked, and gained valuable experience both personal and professional.

Born and raised in his hometown Essen, Germany he received his Marketing & Management Degree from RUB in Bochum which is only 20 minutes away.

During his time at both Barilla (yes, the pasta company) and Payback (a German loyalty Program which is part of the American Express Group) he was part of their Online Marketing departments assisting in building up the Online Marketing/e-commerce branch at Barilla from scratch.

Besides that, Alex has created various international trade show endeavors focused on brand perception and consumer experience both in Germany and the United States.

The knowledge and experience that he gained form working at and with major corporations, he wants to pass on to small and medium sized businesses.

Numerous websites along with carefully planned and best executed Marketing campaigns (Social Media, e-mail, and POS) compose his portfolio.

Alex was able to pinpoint his customer’s needs and areas of opportunities in order to provide a qualitative recommendation to positively impact their brand awareness.

Atlanta, Orlando, Dallas are a few of the places Mathieu has lived and work, gaining valuable industry experience. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia he received his degrees in Visual Communication & Graphic Design from WCC in Atlanta.

Mathieu has worked for the over 9 years in branding, design and marketing; choosing to cater to and contribute to the success of many local brand’s inception and cultivation.
